Both my husband and I wore bright green T-shirts and were pushing a pink stroller...:D
Somebody in the rally in fact remarked that our green T-shirts matched the idea of getting green cards...;)

I and manish flew monday morning sept 17th on a short notice to attend 11:30AM appointment and then again at 3:30 PM with nagaraj.
We had 2 more appointments on 18th with NH senators.
All the meetings were great and one them exceeded 30 minute schedule to 50 minutes.
It was great to meet all the members like aman, jay, paskal, kanika, meenal, nagaraj, pappu, gopal etc.
Paskal: Where is my beer?
Gopal: "Don't shoot the messenger" in the situation room.
jay: Speech pointing fingure to capitol hill behind him. "We are here on offence".
Mike: Step1 to step 5 entertainment
These are some, but not all, of the memorable things in DC.
I really had to mention pappu seperately.
He is a dedicated person to this cause and needs special mention. I really enjoyed his company in the bus on our return journey to NH. We shooted all possible questions and got convincing answers.
Thanks again for the wonderful experience.

I have seen that same tendency on ,when I asked about that, I was told that once your PD is current the RD plays the final role, if my RD is before someones with a 2004 PD then mine is done first. Now the service guy was the one telling me that. Question is how much can we believe them. Obviously we are getting mixed info here.
Lets just hope we all get it soon and this confusion they are causing with all the mixed messages is over soon!

I don't mean to be pessimistic regarding your application, but it seems that USCIS is processing old PDs 2003 and 2004 without looking at RD ( if it is within the published processing time or not). so if you have a PD of 2004 or older, don't worry about your RD and they will touch yours soon, assuming I-140 already approved. but if you have a PD newer than 2004, it might be a while before they get to those even if your RD is before 06/08/07 (published)
Also regarding the service request. I did a SR back in February to get an update of my case and they asked me to wait 45 days to hear something. I called again today ( 60 days later) and it seems that SR I did disapeared ( I even have a reference #). Customer Service rep said they can start a new SR but not sure if it is gonna do anything. they will get to the application when they can. and right now they are precessing 2003 and 2004.

Today I have contacted Ron Gotcher and here is his response.
1. Begin by contacting the office of the Inspector General of the Department of Labor. That office is supposed to ferret out mismanagement and misconduct within the agency. With cases pending as long as they have been pending, something is clearly wrong.
2. If you get no response from the IG's office, next prepare a formal letter to the Secretary of Labor, asking for assistance.
3. If that doesn't work (though it should), next contact the chairs of the House and Senate immigration sub-committees and file formal complaints, requesting their help. If you include a large number of victims, this should impress them enough to contact the agency to find out what's going on and get it resolved.
And also Ron Gotcher ready to help us.
So please guys post your inputs and what can be done futher. Its a collective effort and have to help outselves. Here is the action plan.
1. Rather than every one sending separate letter, let us send only one letter and every one signed that.
2. Let us create one yahoo group, send all your infomation, Name and adress.
3. Draft a letter to OIG, attach all our information.
4. Based on the response let us decide our next move.

Wow, I am in exactly same boat, So , basically FP results are blocking EAD card production!!... next renewal, It will paper based EAD.!!

Per the guy at the InfoPass counter, the FP report was received on July 24th (which probably explains the July 25th LUD). He said EAD will not be printed or sent out before FP check is complete. In 2007, they did not run FP checks to issue the first EAD after July fiasco.
So could this explain the delay that folks here are seeing? FP Code 2 was done for EAD, so not sure why this should take so long :mad: Maybe I am mistaken, but I thought that only FP Code 3 that's done for I-485 can take a long, long time. Can someone post info on EAD FP checks?

I have contacted congressmen and senators to try to highlight this issue and to be totally honest most of them have so little knowledge of immigration law they do not even understand the problem.
The CIS do not care, they follow the rules.
It is attention much higher up that is needed on Capitol Hill and someone who is willing to make it a REAL issue.

Stop arguing. Leave your ego. If we keep arguing and yelling, nothing is going to happen.
We should make this event successfully. If we make this event successful, everyone will be happy. Particularly our family will be happy. We should realize ourself.
We are not going to lose anything just donating / contributing $25 - $50.
If we get benefits without any efforts, definitely we can not enjoy.

My wife and son are going to India on vacation this summer. Their current H4 visa got expired (June 2006) on their passports. They have a valid I-797 notice expiring Oct 2007.
However, I am applying my H1B extension next month and will get 3 years extension sometime in May 2007. I want to get them visa stamp based on my new approval notice.
For dependent H4 visa stamp, do they need their own approval notice 797 or principal's approval notice be sufficient to get the stamping?

I think TSC might wait until August 1st. Because if they send before August 1st they might end up giving 2 year EAD. So it might be trick. But i don't care whether they issue 1 year or 2 year EAD. As long as they issue EAD before it expires i am okay. Let's see tomorrow.
I dont care about the years for which EAD will be issued. I just want EAD, so that i can keep on working. People who got their EAD fast, should be happy and relieved, atleast they dont have to go through the ordeal of waiting every single day. I hope TSC awakens soon and starts approving EAD's.
