I like the idea of creating a seperate e-mail account so everyone can send their information to it. Faxing a signature should not be an issue for many of us either.

An attorney I know told me today that:
(1) they believe EB2/3 mid-month retrogression is unlikely in July based on coversations with relevant folks in govt.
(2) USCIS is unlikely to want a spirited fight from AILA by retrogressing mid month, especially given the fight that's already on about June EB-3 unskilled
(3) The June EB-3 unskilled mid-month should be viewed in the context of the just 5000 visas that were left.
I am not going to qualify the attorney by firm name or with adjective phrases such as "very high profile." Nor am I going to quote the attorney in multiple colors. Posting it here for what it's worth (even though I realize this would sound totally bogus if I were to start this post with "a bird told me that...") None of the above is secret knowledge; apparently other AILA attorneys are also up to speed on these points.
In any case, however relaxed attorneys might be, we should probably work on trying to hit that ever-moving target of "as soon as possible," if we want to see the smile that an EAD card will bring to dear spouse's eyes.

It seems some people already coverted\or in the process of coverting from Eb3 to Eb2. Even I did that recently.

This process was already done by many in later part of 2005, entire 2006 and in early part of 2007. We do not know how many got out from the 485 Que in 2007. Many of those might have filed 485 recently in the july fiasco. The impact of these conversion will be felt only after 5 to 6 months or even after an year.

Wage verification generally take 3 weeks. After that Advertisements. If your employer is fast enough, he can complete everything in one month. After all advertisements are completed, Job posting need to be done in DOL website and wait for 30 days.
Then you can file in PERM.
I heard labor thru PERM is taking long time now a days.

people this is such less amount, ready to pay so much money for renewing visas etc, but you can't sign up for 20 or 50 every month. This is really becoming like begging..I do understand everyone has family commitment and other financial need but $20/month is not too much !!
20/month is a joke for EB retrogression removal. It costs $15+/day for metro + car parking, to Washington DC.
Is it possible to know how many members have not paid a penny so far? Thanks.

that the years for Citzenship count the day you apply for I-485...not actually recieving the GC..that was his lawyers opinion..
So does this mean that all the July filers will be eligible for Naturalization come July 2012 ( provided they get the GC by then)
Gurus please comment - any one has spoken to the lawyers on this topic?

Oh your status said mentioned it as "RESPECTED". May be you are a special case for USCIS. Good for you.
I hope you realize that the only thing you gained is the disrespect of your peers. Enjoy it.
It doesn't matter if I am special to USCIS or not. I got GC by not jumping the line and by being rightly qualified in the EB2 category when most people have resorted to other means such as fraudulent L1A's, unethical porting and substitution.
You may feel disrespected if you are one of those line jumpers!

I talked to NSC (using POJ method) and got hold of IO (I am pretty sure it was not the call center representative). He told me that my file is pre-adjudicated and it is on the way to Agent's office for final review. I think that many files are stored at off-site location and are brought back as needed / pd becomes current etc.
He said that all he can do is to wish good luck. I asked him if I will get GC this month or no? He replied that it all depends on how many visa number will be given to them by state department.
It's only day 2 but I feel that they are approving what ever file they have on their hands on. Feels like I will miss this boat too.

Did you change the job? They sent the REF letter to you or your attorney? I raised SR on May 6th, and received an email on May13th saying that a RFE letter was sent out. Anxious to know what the RFE is.

I just called all the offices mentioned.
Almost all of them seemed to know what I'm talking about and couple of the offices actually said they have been receiving numerous calls asking the congressman/congresswoman to support these bills and some of them knew the bill number even before i could mention them...so looks like we are getting our point across loud and clear....

Thanks. I missed you. I think I should have seen you but can't remember. Since morning at least 10 people who i have talked to from Tri-State area asked me if I know where is chanduv23? they just wanted to see the great motivator like you. EAD has nothing to do with travel. your AP is your travel document. make sure BEFORE you leave the country you have the AP in hand that is valid on the day you re-enter the country. if you currently have an AP that expires after your return date, then you are good to go. even if you file for AP revewal now you must have received the approval BEFORE you fly.

I consulted 2 attorneys.
One said you should be able to travel on valid H4 (which I have) and be back in U.S before Oct 1st without any impact on COS.
Other one said i need to get H1 stamped in India (which I don�t want)
I don�t know whom to trust. :confused: If anybody has personal experience regarding this I would really appreciate if you can let me know.
I have to know early as I need to travel to India urgently.

There is no point in educating a mass of angry, frustrated EB3-I folks.
SO WHAT IS THE BLOODY PROBLEM??? Wait your turn patiently like everyone else, or upgrade your skills and education to apply for EB2 jobs. Stop bitchin' and moanin' and trying to find shortcuts in life. There are none.

Please note that GC is only one of the life's important things. There are several important things in life that one has to pass till death.
We are suffering like this for our past sins. Few of EB3's might be INS officers in their past life who did not treat immigrants well and suffering now. But past few years have cleansed our sins due to the sufferings we are under going due to GC.
On the other side, you are enjoying our sufferings. You have been hurting every one here including EB2, EB3 or any one that see your post.
Many dictators have thought there is no one to oppose them and God gave them punishment. I am sure 90% of EB3's here will have good life.
And take my words: You will suffer every day from now on. Either you stop enjoying other's sufferrings or count your sins. God will have enough punishment for you.
