BTW, its PPD test and I know quite a few people of Indian origin who had to go for the X-ray. Follow some of the other threads on this forum as well.
I hear a lot about Indian's getting positive PDP (TB Skin Test)result. But when I talked to many of my Indian friends, they say they got negative result. Met only one who got positive skin test result.
Hope this poll sheds some light on what is the percentage of people that got positive reaction to PDP tests. Please participate.

Need advice on my birth certificate matter.
I have my birth certificate. My DOB is correct on it along with Date of its registration (DOB+5 days).
My father's name and mother's name is not spelt exactly the same as in my passport.
Example:
my father's name has an extra "bhai" in the name. xxxxbhai yyyyy zzzzz
my mother's name has only her first name and not her full name. aaaaa
My passport has thier correct full names.
What kind of document(s) would i need to submit in order for me to use thier names listed on the passport? Could this cause an issue?
OR am I preparing for no reason?

In my opinion, one of the more intriguing product announcements from Nikon today was the Coolpix 8700. If it improves significantly from the Sony, that could be a killer product. Right now, Canon is lacking a bit in the true consumer DSLR market. But then again, PMA is right around the corner. The Sony has Zeiss glass and 28mm WA. But the CA and Noise are horrible. Isn't the Nikon 8700 has same sensor size as the Sony 828? Wait and see how the Nikon performs in those deaprtments!

Hi ,
I was working for company A and got my labor and I-140 approved and then i changed to company B. My priority date is jan 2005. Is there any way that i can continue my green card process with company A. WOuld be of great help if somone can tell me if there is any way to do it.

It's been 9 years since I filed for my Eb3. July 2002. Jan 2002 is currently being processed. Do not see it coming to July 2002 .. based on the trends so far. (may take 2 years or more for all I know)
When I filed for my EB3 .. i worked in as a support engineer.
Am currently a manager (not support but Web Projects). SO my previous job and current one do not have a huge overlap.
Questions for th gurus.
1. Do you think I should apply for EB2
2. If yes .. how much time will it take for me to get the GC? (quicker than my 2 years to indefinite for EB3)
3. Can I get my July 2002 priority date for my EB2.
4. Am currently on eAD. So is my wife. Will applying in EB2 affect my EAD?

As far as I know, you can file (or even decide not to file if you have H-1) anytime. This should not be an issue. In fact, one my friend's was in similar boat, he filed his EAD after gap of 3 months and got it approved.
EAD is only a backup for most of us if we are working on H1B. But it is better to have it renewed as you never know when you may have to use it due to layoff, firing or any other unfortunate event. It is more likely to happen due to current state of economy. CIS allows us to continue working on EAD after 180 days of filling 485 under AC21 rule.
However there are some unfortunate incidents going on where IO wrongfully denied 485 petitions when a person changed jobs using AC-21. I urge you to take part in IV AC-21 letters campaign which will help you and all of us to survive any unfortunate, unforseen job loss due to current downturn in economy. It is actully very easy, just print 4 pages and mail it thru' USPS. Won't even cost you $2. Remember this for yours and our future and peace of mind. You can apply for H1 transfer now.. but you'll more than likely get a RFE for paystubs.. and if you can provide them (and depending on your job, client letter etc.,) you are good.
If you old company cancels your h1, you are still good if you applied for transfer before that...
The only risk might be that you might get approval without I-94 if your old I-94 expired already, which is not true in your case I assume..
Btw, this is a public forum, you can expect responses, but no one is paid or obliged to do so... so URGENT responses should not be expected here... for such cases, you better pay for a lawyer.

Case received and Pending is a usual status when case is pending.
Sometimes status still remains pending even after case is processed. Also it doesn't mean that you should receive approval since your processing date is with in normal processing time, it may take one or two months more too.

Hi All,
Earlier USCIS has announced a fee hike from this month end. Ideally they should extend that fee hike till Aug 17th.
Anyone got any clues?

As usual to complicate decision making.... :mad:
Today PD (aug 2006 / EB3) is now current :) and I have my I 140 approved.
I also have another job offer which looks great. :confused: But they will start GC only after 3-4 months!
Should I just stick on to my current job and ride it out for 6 months to get EAD?
When does one get EAD 3 months after filing 485 or after 6?
Also if the dates retrogress, will 485 get approved? or Should the date remain current till 485 gets approved?

Hi all IV gurus,
My wife and I filed our I-485, EAD and AP on July 12th and the package arrived in NSC on July 13th. We have received all receipts and finished our FP about 10 days ago. I checked the online status and there are NO LUDs on any of our applications. All of them still show the ND of August 15th. I am EB3 ROW with PD Jan07. My I-140 is still pending at NSC.
My wife is currently on H-4 and she would like to work. Is she able to apply for a temporary EAD on October 15th, since it will already be 90 days since RD? If yes, how do we go about doing that?
Your experience and advice are very much appreciated!

�Has Anyone Ever Filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on Your Behalf?� but it didn�t ask me this. My I-140 is approved and I am in 7th year of H1B so was going to answer �Yes� to it.
Has this question been removed from DS-160?

I was current starting Sept 1 and did not get my GC till Oct second week. However, during the first week of Oct., I wrote a detailed letter to Secy. Napolitano and also to the Ombudsman. I got my GC subsequently. Yesterday, someone from USCIS called me and said that he was calling in response to my letter to Secy. Napolitano. He congratulated me on my GC and asked me if everything had gone OK and if he could close my letter out. Just thought that this information might help someone who is stuck in the queue of being current, but not getting a GC. Please file 7001 form with Ombudsman and contact Secy Napolitano if you are in this situation.
COngrats - these things do work. Urs is not a difficult situation so it was handled easily. Basically visas were available and there was no reason to not give you a GC.
I read in other threads that people who make service enquiries are getting cryptic responses like "we cannot deny you but waiting for DHS ...." etc..
Such letters must be sent to Ombudsman and Secretary Napolitano so that they understand what goes on at a level below them

I see lot of reference to '45 Day letter' in the forum . I have no recollection of receiving the '45 Day ' letter so far.
Am I missing something here?
Can any one of you please explain what this letter is about?

If you have done your FP twice.. you need to have fun, relax and forget about 45 day letter.. you passed that stage long time back.. this is basically for people who have labor certification pending with BEC.. just in case you don't know what BEC is.. its the Back Log Elimination Center set up to clear labor applications filled under the old system�.. and in case you don't know what the old system is ...........ok� its $5 for every further clarification..
