One more additional question on this, say we open a trading account now and we buy shares in 2008 , but do not sell it yet (meaning no income was made in 2008), then will there be any impact or any additional filing to be made for 2008 tax returns, or how does stock trading relate to tax returns...

Hello,
I filed my 485/EAD/AP last year and recently changed my address. Besides filing an AR11, what are the other steps I need to do? Should I be calling USCIS to make sure the new address gets reflected on my 485 application?

Yes or you can do it online too. It takes a while for the change to reflect, but you will know when it happens as you will receive an update through email and usually also a confirmation letter from CIS.

She will be going to full time dental school, and this course does not have credit system and it is flat 2 year course.
and for this course there is not in-state fee, fee is same for either for in-state resident or student coming from outsidde, this couse is specially desinged for internation trained dentist.
and mai reason is I want to change her status on F1 is , if by any reason if I am out of H1B she will be NOT effected and as well she will be eligible for part time work also and more important she will get 1 yr opt option at the end of course.

Yeah.. the list of supported documents on that link is still ok. However, really speaking those are too many documents and most of them are "just in case" documents - 4 pay stubs, 3 or 4 W2s etc. etc. But anyway...

Contributing now is important; and after getting gc's, its equally important to support the people who are still stuck in the process.
My First donation was in Jan 2006. The latest one was, 100$ for the Washington meet this year. And I had a lot more in between. This will be just on top of it. How is my GC is related to IV. I dont think I am holding anybody responsible for it.

I got an approval email from CRIS last week on my I-140.
Today I received an email saying the notice that USCIS sent was returned as undeliverable.
Any one has similar experience? Where does the I-140 approval notice go- Attorney or Employer address?

I got an approval in March 2007 and status still says 'the notice that USCIS sent was returned as undeliverable". As I guess approval notice was sent to my employer's old address and so returned. My employer got address changed and sent request to Nebraska Service Centere to resent the documents, but documents not received yet. Still waiting.

Hello,
If you want to go through the process for UK visa, then it is much better to get the 10 year multi entry visa ... it costs you bit more, but then you don't have to worry about transit visa anymore (esp when BA, Virgin, Jet and Kingfisher offer good deals)...

After opening 3 SR's and letter through Attorney and finally infopass appointment (not yet done) got the FP notice for my self today (for the first time and applied for EAD renewal).
My dependent (my spouse) has not received her FP notice yet.
Questions:
1. FP is scheduled for Aug 16 2008 (which is Saturday) and is it common to have FP notice scheduled over the weekend in Dallas TX.
2. My spouse did not receive her FP notice, can I take her along with me for the appointment with all the Recipts (I mean all the req docs), will that work
3. And I have infopass appointment on Aug 12 would that help in finiding more details about my case?

Regarding holding card in physically, have to wait some time. Which should not be more taxing than waiting to see the magical words.
I started calling my friends the same night that I got GC, but back in my mind I was still not sure and thought "whatif USCIS made a mistake" and thought may be I should wait until I get the card.
I have spent coupla nights searching forums what kind of email people get when GC approved. I found most get Approval Email and Card production. I got only one email. I am still not able to believe I got GC. It was like a distant dream few weeks ago.

Not to question you or something, my understanding is that, you can file a 7th year extn based on I-140 .. Has the rule changed?

I'll be applying for my wife's and my visa stamping and therefore did some research on this issue myself. I believe that we'll need to print out DS-160 as well and take it to the consulate, the same way we did with previous forms. We can, therefore, write our names (or whoever is the applicant) in our native language on it.
