Hello,
I have a h1b stamping appointment at the Chennai Consulate on the 29th of Nov.
I am in my 7th yr of h1b.My 3 yr extension has been approved based on aprroved I-140.
I have a question on the approved I-140.I do not have the original I-797 for my I-140 approval.
Will I need it for the interview?
I have the original I-797 for the h1b extension approval but not for the I-140.I only have a copy.
My company immigration team said its not needed.
is this correct?

I saw in some forums that the O�Net Code was revised down grading the Specific Vocational Preparation level of most IT jobs to greater than 2 years and up to and including 4 years.
In this way, I read that the key to apply under EB2 is only being �Research� : research into fundamental computer and information science.
Can I be a Software Engineer/Researcher?

H1 has been approved for 2009 quota for a client A. it is almost one and half year and the visa stamping has not been done. The client A is no more interested and a new Client B is interested to offer the same position in a different location or at H1 petitioning employers location. The LCA has been filed for the Client B and may get approved in next couple of days. Is that okay to use this new client letter while going for H1B Visa stamping? This new client is not the one on whom the actual H1B petition is approved.
Question is When going for H1 B visa is it necessary to use the client letter that has been used when applying for H1B approval. Can the clients be different while going for Visa Stamping?
This is urgent as the visa stamping appointment is in a few days. And the attorneys suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

I came to us on H4 in 2007 and the got my H1B in 2008. I am not getting a job on H1 yet so i want to know that till when the H1B be valid as I am not genarating any salery and my consultant is not running my pay roll ?

There are lot of people from good companies expected to FILE 1485 and the company takes care fully. So we may not be able to join unless the company says yes.

we were given special treatment because of our US citizen children. No waiting in line and even no qu from VO once he came to know about children
Actually I think that special treatment may be for all H1-b renewals. When we went for our stamping 3 years ago at Delhi, at the outside window they stamped our passport with "green" sticker or something like that and when we entered the hall at the FP window, they said you don't need to stand in line and we were taken directly to AO. We did not have children and it was my 2nd H1 renewal stamping and my wife's first H4 renewal stamping.

Why do you need color visa copy?. Is it mandetory for AP? News for me.:confused:

There is nothing you can do now. You cannot change the past. Realistically there is only a very small probability that it will become an issue at 485 approval stage.

This is standard message when USCIS receives an RFE response. I had the same message when USCIS received my I140 rfe response.
This is in regards to 485-RFE response. Though text remains similar, meaning could have been different.
