Check on there are tons of cases in EB-2 with PDs before 2003 and RDs way before July, 2007 and still pending.
All i am saying is that they publish the processing dates but do not follow these strictly. My I-140 itself was approved in Jun, 2006 in 40 days even though my RD was ahead of processing dates at that time.
Having processed cases with RD or ND way ahead of (i.e. latter than) the published processing dates does not contradict the intended message. You need to find cases with RD or ND earlier than the published processing dates yet have not been processed to prove your point.

I think it depends on case to case and there is no easy conversion. The benefits offered by some companies might not be the same provided by another, you might want to quantify those too. Some companies offer work from home option a couple of days a week to only employees and not to contractors. With the way the fuel price is rising this could be a selling point to the prospective employee from the company point of view.

Different companies structure their compensation in different ways...lot of perks are inbuilt into the benefit structure and it depends on how you take advantage of those... like 401K and how much % match the company does and also important how much benefit of that the employee actually take by subscribing to 401k... Also the number of PTO is variable from company to company in FT(varies between 10/15/20). Tuition reimbursement...
I have always heard from HRs(whom I had to negotiate regding pay, while moving from Hourly Consulting to FT) that comparing hourly consulting salaries(based on a 2000 billable hours) to FT salaries is comparing apples to oranges. So its not easy to compare between them.

Actually I clicked on the link in the first post. There has been an update that this bulletin must be read in conjunction with their advisory on July 2nd. Yeah, there are no miracles, yet:)

The link in the first post, like the title of this thread, is looking at the July 2005 bulletin

Certified expired means they have passed 6 months from approval. These databases is not updated every day I guess. my case was showing as certified expired because when they run report my case was already 6 months older than approval date.

This is a pertinent post amongst all the extraneous ones.

    mailmy_gc,
While this may seem like a good indicator of movement for the upcoming bulletin, I am afraid that these officers do not possess any knowledge of future movement. At best, they can make guesses like us. Thus, her prediction would not count for much.

Two years ago they told me, if you dont get your GreenCard with in 60 days please contact us. all the time they say you will get in couple of months.

    Chandu,

I really appreciate your efforts to keep people active. However, I do not think the analogy is warranted. Are you really trying to convince people that GC fight is somehow similar to the freedom struggle? Come on Man, you know better. It is a disrespect to our grandfathers. My grandfather was a freedom fighter and I know what it was like to be part of that struggle.

I do not see the point in trying to motivate using these false analogies. It will only drive people away and will have a detrimental effect.

I was really motivated in the initial stages but having seen aggressive and needless posts from some guys, I decided to take a step back. It works differently for everyone. I am not be desperate for a Green Card. Don't get me wrong. I am supporting this cause. I just dont like some of the stupid posts or the means of trying to achieve this goal to get rid of retrogression.

    Peace,

If you want to do something, you will. Not matter what you think an anonymous person on this board equates this struggle to another struggle. IV is all about uniting and work peacefully to achieve results. So, if you want to do something, you definitely will. If you want to find reasons not to logon to IV or not to work with IV, you will have tons of reasons. Not everyone are same, not every day is same, not every process is same. Things change and we must manage things most effectively. IV works with the smallest media to CNN , IV has gone everywhere for support, IV accepts small donations to bug, small ideas to big, everything that helps IV - really helps IV. But if someone says "A member posted posts that I don't like so I don't like IV I won't logon to IV " means you are citing reasons not to do anything.

    Gurus/ IV Support:
I have MS in CS from a US univ (country of origin: India). My I140 is approved in EB-3 category. I have been working 3 yrs prior to my I140 is filed with same company. Am I covered for qouta exemption as per SKIL bill or does it apply only for EB-2?

    Thanks

You have applied in EB3. Read what EB3 means, Eb3 is for Skilled labor not for Advanced degree. So you should have an I-140 approved in EB2 category to be considered in the exemption quota.

Read on I-140 categories and what it saying in the bill.

Soft LUDs may be good. You should not worry about those. This week I got the email with RFE with no LUDs earlier. So you can be relaxed.

I have soft LUDs on mine and my wife's application yesterday and today.

If you see some of ROW filling and their current status in USA , like B1 / B2 and no status. that means those are illegals who came here legally and over stayed and their employer files like that. I know few illegals people who filled under 245 (i) and their status was b1/b2.. we also can filter if person has h2b and some low level labor visas.

also some people are not in USA and by job title once can find out what they can be, like Indian cook , cleaner from maxico. all these can some guidance but it needs lots of home work. but total is very low..
